This episode is a collaboration between 5MOD and US based writer Germaine Shames. The piece is wonderfully written and provided ample opportunity to create my preferred metaphysical visuals. Once I had heard a draft recording of the script, I noticed that certain phrases were sparking off images and sticking with me; as with any good writing. Due to the fact that the piece circles around hypnotherapy (and the endless possibilities therein) I thought it appropriate to reintroduce text within the picture, as in ‘Can You Do That, Episode 2.
The results, after a certain amount of CAD, are a mixture of photographs and superimposed quotes from Germaine’s script using an invented typography specific to this short film.
This, being the longest episode yet produced, takes you on a journey as much as the protagonists and I hope that the film captures that.
